What should I do with my dead dog?
My dog died a few days ago just lying on the floor in the corner of my living room. We knew it was coming because he's been very sick lately but now that he's dead we don't know what to do with him. He's still in the same place where he died but no one wanted to touch it and now he's starting to smell a little. Any help?p.s. For the people telling me to cremate my dog, should I just put him in some type of barrel and light it on fire. How should I cremate it? Any suggestions?
What kind of dog is right for me?
I'm looking to rescue a dog from a shelter.I want something tiny, preferably a toy breed or a smaller dog not exceeding 20 lbs . i want one that doesn't bark too much, doesn't shed, is a quick learner, and is obedient. it can't need too much exercise because i have a tiny yard and a busy schedule. i like a dog that is mellow and can sit on my lap when i want to relax, but will play when the time calls for it. it must be friendly.i already have a papillon, he's about 5 years old. i live with my mom and 2 younger sisters 12 and 16 so there will usually be someone at home to take care of it. i don't want another papillon, but i was hoping to find a breed about the same size and temperment. any recommendations?also, if anyone knows of a place in new jersey preferrably central jersey where you can rescue dogs, let me know thanks

Let dog switch food for a week?
so, my dog is a 11lb shih tzu and my sisters 3lb chihuahua is visiting and she feeds him biljac. i feed mine Orijen Fish blend.......he hasnt touched his food for the past two days and keeps trying to eat the other dog's food, so i've been trying to keep them seperate, but mine still hasnt eaten food in over 24 hours, he's being normal and whatnot, but i dont want him to starve.......should i let him eat the biljac he's so heartily interested in, or let him starve himself..... he's not acting any differently or anything, no puking.....but, it's not good for their gut to just let them switch foods so quickly, right???
My dog has a horrible underbite, help?
I have a one year old female pit bull, about 47 pounds. She has a underbite, but its not just the teeth its the entire lower jaw that appears to be about two inches farther forward than it should, to the point that the lower canines are a good bit in front of the upper ones. Its financially not an option to take her to the vet, and i haven't had her long, but she can't chew well and she gets sick often. When i get her soft food she does, too. Any recomendations? And, what kind of treatment would be used for her?

Help! my dog ate choclate chip cookies!?
he is a big dog but still small 11 months and he ate about 6 milk chocolate chip cookies that aren't homeade. is he gonna be ok? he acted fine and slept right after. my mom said he should be ok but if he starts vomiting alot we will take him to the vet. I am scared though.. please help

My dog is AVID microchipped and I had a question?
My dog was microchipped before I got him and I got a sheet to fill out and mail in. I filled it out and mailed it and my check in. The check has cleared my bank, but I haven't heard from them. Do they normally send a dog tag or something? How do I know he is actually registered? I looked on AVID's site and couldn't find a link to a place to verify registration or anything. Anyone know anything about it?
Would ever leave your dog alone overnight?
Lots of people are happy to leave their dog on its own during the day if they have to work or whatever, but would you be happy to do the same at night?
