Can i use neosporin on my dog's razor burn?
my 10lb yorkie came home from the groomer's with razor burn on his belly. i would like to know if it's safe to use small amounts of neosporin to help heal it. if so, after i apply it, should i wrap something around his belly to stop from licking it off? any advice would be greatly appreciated as i cannot afford a vet visit at this time. thank you

Ok. Im saying the complete truth, I know if I downplay it its gonna be worse in the end. Also m gonna make some mistakes im a wreck over hereMy little boston terrier is on life support. My cattle dog mix did it. Shes progressing and is awake. My cattle dog, popper, is sweet and gentle. But doesnt like my boston terrier domino. Ok, she likes her but sometimes she gets pushed over the edge and bits. When domino pushes to far she gets hurt, she's been hurt once. The vet said " multiple punctures and extensive bruising" that was 2 weeks ago. Anyway today something happened and she's on or was on life support. Let me fill you in on my moms and dominos realationship. My mom is obsessed. She circles her world around her. And before you judge my mom let me fill someting in about her. She has severe deppression, domino never gets mad, shes cuddly, and enjoys constant love and gives lots of lov back. That really helps my mom, but it doesnt help popper and she got over the moon jealous. My mom was obsessed wth popper until domino came and then gave her minimal attention. Of coarse i gave them attention and my dad and brother arent exactly poppers best friend but they like her more then domino. Anyway she's stable enough to be moved to a different hospital, so thats good right?Anyway could the state put popper down, or take her? I hate the possibilty of losing one, let alone two. I can give her to my friends if I have to, they just lost their dog not along time ago. Domino isnt dead shes doing better and poppers the sweetest dog once you know her, shes terrified of new people. Im bracin my self for the worst so could they take popper?

How do I make treats with dry dog food?
I am looking to use the Science Diet dog food that the shelter gave me when we adopted my ekeven year old baby. So far I have made little peanut butter sandwiches with the dog food, but I'm looking to make him something else. Peanut butter can be dangerous for dogs if given in large quantities. I am trying to make very healthy treats because he is so old. PLEASE GIVE ANY SUGGESTIONS THE GOOGLES ISN'T HELPING ME
My dog ate & drank this morning, but is now all of a sudden lethargic. Possible cause?
My dog is a German Shepherd. 2 years old. Female. Fixed. This morning, my dog, Mystic, was running around, excited when I woke up, etc. Acting totally normal. She ate her food, drank water, and was even chewing on one of her raw hide bones in the back yard. She wanted to be in the backyard, so I left her there for about an hour while I ate breakfast, etc.I went outside to get her to bring her inside and she all of a sudden seemed lethargic tired weak. She's currently sleeping in her bed but when she wakes up, she just seems so tired. She is not whining much or anything. Maybe occasionally she will let out a whine, but not very often. So it does not seem like she is in pain. She is not licking anything to indicate wounds or bites. She does not flinch when I touch her anywhere.I also checked the backyard. No mushrooms, no worms in her poo, & nothing suspicious chewed up or anything like that.Why would she be perfectly fine this morning when I got up and then all of a sudden a few hours later start acting lethargic? I don't want to take her to the vet needlessly cause of money .To Dog Section Regular Calm down. When I said the word " needlessly" I only meant, that I do not have a car to take my dog to the vet just for him to tell me that my dog has something as simple as a tummy ache. Okay? I am not going to JUMP every single time she whines or something. Being the fact that she is still eating and drinking, THAT is the reason I did not feel a vet visit was needed right away. I KNOW you were not here, etc. But I was asking the question if anyone else had ever had this problem. Hell, it could even just be sadness because my husband is out of town. Ya know? I have had pets my entire life I'm 34 so thats a long time and I KNOW the territory when it comes to pets. Your answer came off very aggressive. Do YOU take your dog to the vet every single time she he whines? No, I doubt you do. So don't jump all over me because I have not taken her to the vet yet. She has only been this way for a few hours. So its not like I have left her here like this

Vet accidently gave my dog a rabies vaccination early, will this harm him?
Today I took my 8 year old dog to get his yearly vet check up and vaccinations. The vet looked at his chart and then gave him the shots I assumed she knew what she was supposed to give him since they sent out a postcard telling me its time for his yearly shots, so I didn't ask what she was giving him. After the shots were given the vet realized that her records had not been filled in correctly and that my dog should not have been given the rabies one, as he had had it in feb 2011. SO it has been over a year since he had the first rabies shot, will this 2nd one harm him? It it supposed to be given every 3 years.
My dog keeps vomiting help?
Well he chewed on a barette and then he threw up, but it was just food and water, next time a little water and acid, and I called him to let him out he stood up and pukes watery foam, is he gonna die, help. I love him so much I am gonna bring him to the vet if it happens again he is a pekingese if it helps
Which Dog Food To Buy?
So. I am currently feeding my dogs' purina one lamb and rice. Well I found out that is a bad food so I am switching. I know that good quality foods you have to feed less of so I want a good quality food with real meat and has good stuff for the dogs. We have a long hair chihuahua that is 10 yrs old and a 9 10 yr old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, and a 1 yr old rat terrier. I need a food they all can eat. Any suggestions? Something that makes them have a nice healthy coat and not gassy would be great.I will look into Merrick I don't want to go to expensive about $40 for a 30 lb pound bag is about where I want to stay give or take a few dollars. But might be will to make an exception.
Dog is peeing out of his crate?
I adopted a new dog a few weeks ago. He's on crate rest from a knee surgery, so while I'm at work he has to stay in the crate. He used to pee in one corner and sleep in the other until I got a divider now however he is somehow lifting his leg and aiming his pee outside the crate it's a wire one when I get home there is pee all over the floor but none in the crate. How can I change this behavior put a sheet over it? Cover it with cardboard? Any suggestions?Thanks
Dog is suddenly paralyzed on left side.?
My dog woke up this morning and appeared to be in good health. Around 8 we noticed him favoring his right side and having troubles balancing... a little later it became apparent something was seriously wrong with our 8 year old terrier mix. We rushed him to the vet and they said it could be a number of things but couldn't tell us anything unless we got an MRI. We simply cannot afford the $3300 for it. THey gave us some steroids in case it was a stroke and told us to keep an eye on him. Now he can't put any weight on his left front leg at all and is limping and falling all over the place. We are trying to keep him calm and resting and blocked the stairs to avoid any injury. Are there any treatable conditions that could cause sudden paralysis of the left side in a dog? Are there any tests we can do that wouldn't cost as much money that could give us some insight? This dog means the world to us and it's heartbreaking to watch and so hard not knowing if he could die in the middle of the night or if he'll be okay tomorrow.Please help He was just at the vet earlier this week as well to get his shots... could the shots cause this? ?
I saw 4 Dogs fighting on my street? =(?
There's 4 dogs that live on my street I looked out my window and saw them..it was actually pretty upsetting to see.3 dogs holding down 1 dog it looked like they were trying to kill it.Do dogs really try to kill each other or were they trying to " teach it a lesson" lol ..
