we are currently feeding our dog " dance with the wolf" , it is said to be made in australia,as an oversea dog lover. We want to know more about it from who actually live in and knows about this products. please help , dear dog lovers.

What could cause bleeding from my dog's mouth during seizures?
My dog has been diagnosed with epilepsy. I have had dogs with this condition before I'm fond of German Shepherds but there's something new with this dog. When he seizes, he bleeds from the mouth. Profusely. The first time it happened it was only a small amount so I assumed he had bitten his tongue. After some investigation after the seizure I realized there were no lacerations in his mouth or on his tongue. Later that night he had a longer seizure about two minutes and the blood was so extensive that it soaked a two foot area of very thick carpet, through the padding, and onto the tile beneath. I don't want to drive my sick dog alone to the vet about 20 miles away if it's something the vet can't do anything about. I just want to know if his condition could be worse than simple epilepsy or if I can do something to stop the bleeding from occurring again.

Should I get a rat or dog?
Okay so I have always wanted a collie dog, and where we live there are no breeders. But yesterday my friend's 2 collie dogs she got from a lady in Bell Island had puppies I was so excited that there were purebred collie puppies close to me But I also wanted a rat too. So here are my problems Mom said Me and her boyfriend can get a dog when our house is built in june , but i'm afraid to get a dog because I will have to leave him her when I go to university in 3 years. Also I want a pet of my own and since my mom's boyfriend will be retired by then he will be home all day and the dog will bond better with him and like him better. That's exactly what happened when we got our cat, she likes my mom better and I wanted my own pet. My problems for getting rats is that my mom thinks they're ''from the sewers'' and that they smell. I really want a pet of my own, but I would love a collie dog too. I have wanted one for so long. Help?

What's wrong with my dog?
Ok I have had her sense she was a puppy she was born here I have her mom and we did have her dad and they was just fine the one or two year of her life she looked just fine but she is 3 now and looks like she never get food but she eat and drinks water and acts just fine but she is skinny and won't gain weight she has lab germen Shepard and chow in her and I know I put the question on here before but people told me to take her to a shelter cuz I don't have the money to take her to a vet but she acts fine and I'm not put my dog in a shelter

How can i teach my dog to stop on command?
I want to teach my dog to be a little more independent by letting her off the leash more since i'm always camping with groups of friends. Shes good at coming when i call her so thats not the case. But sometimes out in the woods another camper might be on a hike and if she sees them she automatically goes up to investigate. Now shes not biting but she comes up barking with her hackles up sniffs them and then usually gets lots of petting but there's always someone that is afraid of dogs and i just want know what is the best way to stop her before she bolts off. Its rare that people are seen at this spot in the woods but it happens every so often, most of the time its someone in the group that is just coming back from a hike, but the initial approach scares people since shes a semi big dog.not interested on how to stop her before it happens, she is good at that. But there are those times when she spots something in the darkness before I do. So more interested on how to stop her in the heat of it all

BB gun for Dog defense? Any suggestions?
I go for a run every morning, anywhere from 2 to 5 miles. I live in a community where the law absolutely requires that dogs be fenced in, tied down, or on a leash only when walking . Yet the dog owners out here don't seam to care, at all. And some of these dogs are big and aggressive I'd like to have something with me for defense against these dogs. I don't want to seriously harm them, just deter them. I've considered a small BB pistol, but I don't know if one would be powerful enough to make a point. I've also considered some kind of high pitched noise, and I've found some devices, but they are expensive, and I'd have to order online, I think. What should I do? If I had a concealed Weapon Permit I would just take my .380, but even then, I don't really want to kill the darn things, just deter them. If you have any suggestions about a particular BB gun, or even another method, I'm all ears. I'd love any advice you can give me But please, don't just say " Call the cops" like so many people do. They would take too long, and I have no idea how to deal with a dog once it's within arms reach. Again, Thanks for any info By the way, I know this isn't really a " pets" question, but it seamed like the best topic match, and I figured dog owners would know what to do better than anybody else. Thanks roxana banos, I've never been the " cower in fear or run away" kinda guy. I'd rather stand and fight, whether it's a person or a dog. The only problem is I don't know how to fight a dog, and if I bring my real pistol, I get charged with concealing a deadly weapon. And most dogs can bite down with over 500 pounds of force, so I'd rather stay at least 10 15 feet away from their mouth, hence the idea of a projectile. Having said that, the Dog Dazer looks affordable, and might be worth a try. Worst case scenario, I have to whip out my knife Small pocket folder, but it's better than nothing . Most of these dogs seam to steer clear of other dogs, but I don't particularly want to get a dog just to go for my morning run. Still, thanks for the advice.
